The Free Market is MapleStory Classic World's player-driven marketplace where you can buy, sell, and trade items with other players. Whether you're looking for powerful equipment, rare scrolls, or just trying to make some mesos, the Free Market is your hub for all trading activities.

Our Free Market platform allows you to list items even before the server launches, helping you plan your trades and connect with other players early!

How to Use the Free Market

📋 Browsing Listings

  • Filter by category (Weapons, Armor, Accessories, Potions, ETC)
  • Filter by server (Scania, Bera, Aurora, Elysium)
  • Search for specific items by name
  • Sort by recent, popularity, or price
  • Click on any listing to view full details and comments

📝 Creating a Listing

Required Information:

  • Listing Title: A catchy title for your item (e.g., "17 star AbsoLab Claw")
  • Item Name: The actual item name
  • Category: Choose the appropriate category
  • Server: Which server you're on
  • Your IGN: Your in-game name for buyers to contact you
  • Delete PIN: A 4-6 digit PIN to edit/delete your listing later

Optional Information:

  • Price: Set a price in mesos (or leave blank)
  • Stats: ATK, stars, potential tier
  • Images: Upload up to 5 images (max 5MB each)

⚠️ Important: Save Your Delete PIN!

You'll need this PIN to edit or delete your listing. We don't store it in plain text, so if you lose it, you won't be able to manage your listing!

💬 Leaving Comments

  • Each listing has a comments section for questions and negotiations
  • You'll need a delete PIN for each comment (in case you want to remove it later)
  • Use comments to ask about availability, negotiate prices, or arrange meetups
  • Keep comments respectful and on-topic

🔧 Managing Your Listings

  • To edit your listing: View it and use your delete PIN
  • You can update the title and price
  • To delete a listing: Use your delete PIN (all images and comments will be removed)
  • To delete a comment: Click delete on your comment and enter the PIN you used

For Sellers:

  • Take clear screenshots of your items
  • Include all relevant stats in the description
  • Research prices before listing
  • Be responsive to comments and questions
  • Update your listing if the item sells
  • Be honest about item condition/stats

For Buyers:

  • Verify item stats before purchasing
  • Check the seller's IGN and reputation
  • Negotiate prices politely
  • Meet in safe, populated areas
  • Double-check items in trade window
  • Report suspicious listings

🛡️ Scam Prevention

Common Scams to Watch Out For:

  • Fake Screenshots: Always verify items in-game before trading
  • Switch Scams: Scammers may swap items at the last second. Always double-check the trade window
  • Impersonation: Verify you're trading with the actual seller (check IGN carefully)
  • Too Good to Be True: If a price seems unrealistic, it probably is
  • Off-Platform Trading: Never send real money or trade outside the game

🚨 If You've Been Scammed:

Report the incident to the MapleStory GMs immediately. Include screenshots, IGNs, and transaction details. While we can't prevent all scams, reporting helps protect the community.
